Synchronization Negotiation, Pitching and Placement

A division of Word Collections, Word’s Synchronization Management department provides outreach, placement, negotiation, and management strategy of sync placements for Word Collections clients. Sync Management includes full navigation throughout the sync media landscape of film, TV, commercials and beyond, as well as working side by side with Word Collections clients to formulate and facilitate their strategy and vision in the sync world.

Headed by Lisa Moberly and Janet Rich, the department’s integrated approach is built on the careers and expertise of Lisa’s and Janet’s deep background in the entertainment industry.

Lisa Moberly has worked in sync as founder of Optic Noise, a sync licensing and pitching agency. Through Optic Noise, Lisa has overseen and negotiated placements for both independent and established musical artists and has overseen innumerable placements on behalf of Optic Noise artists in every market segment. Her background encompasses music copyright and administration, as well as work with several Grammy winning artists in a variety of capacities.

Alongside Lisa’s expertise and experience in placement is Janet Rich, whose career in artist management, Broadway theater producing, and music supervision and licensing affords a deep understanding of sync. From her management work with clients that have included Nirvana, Guided by Voices, and Hole, to her ongoing work with Grammy-winner Lisa Loeb and with Peloton, Janet brings a truly unique toolkit to the sync world.

Janet and Lisa initially partnered to found Loudspeaker Music Group, a boutique music supervision, clearance, and commercial sync agency.

Their work at Word Collections is a natural extension of their partnership. Lisa and Janet’s holistic approach to sync management affords a 360° view of creative opportunities, a unique insight into market rates for licensing, deep negotiation expertise in the sync world, and an experienced approach to pitching and music supervisor relationships. Their personalized approach to working closely with artists and their representatives provides additional support as team players working towards the continuing success of Word Collections artists.
